CIRMA E-Learning Center:
CIRMA offers a number of online training programs through our E-Learning Center that are beneficial to Fire Departments and Firefighters. These online courses can be accessed through our E-Learning Center. To register for a course, please contact your organization's E-Learning Administrator or Martin Connelly, Risk Management Services Coordinator, at mconnelly@ccm-ct.org.
CIRMA Training and Education Programs:
CIRMA offers instructor-led training & education programs that are scheduled periodically at locations throughout the state. In our Training & Education Catalog, there is an "Emergency Services" section, which includes various workshops for Firefighters and Emergency Responders. The trainings are: CIRMA's Defensive Driving for Fire Departments and EMTs, Preventing Sprains and Strains (For Emergency Responders), and Understanding the Risks of Social Media in the Fire Service. Our Training & Education Catalog offers a full list of CIRMA training and educational programs. Please visit our E-Learning Center and Learning Media Library for additional descriptions of CIRMA training and education resources. Firefighter Accident Insurance Program
CIRMA's Firefighter Accident Insurance program provides accident benefits over and above statutory Workers' Compensation benefits. CIRMA's program provides the financial protection and peace of mind volunteers deserve--with fewer exclusions and higher benefits than many other policies, subject to policy provisions. CIRMA's Firefighter Accident Insurance Program is provided at no additional direct cost by CIRMA to its Workers' Compensation Pool members' fire and rescue volunteers. Download coverage flyer.
