New E-Learning Center Platform
CIRMA E-Learning Center has been improved with new features for administrators and users. Trainers and managers can now:
Add Users and Create Groups - Easily add and organize personnel into groups based on rank, shift or other tailored options.
Automate Reports - Create recurring and on-demand reports to monitor and track training compliance.
Create Training Assignments - Set start and end dates for each course and automate reminder notifications.
There are now over 280 full-length training topics and over 1,000 short, 5 minute videos on topics of interest to both municipalities and public schools.

Prevent Slip & Fall Accidents!
Last year, slip and fall accidents accounted for almost 40% of CIRMA-member Workers' Compensation loss costs, for a total of $10.2 million in claims costs.
CIRMA is helping our members reduce the number of slip and fall accidents with resources, communications, and training opportunities for employees. CIRMA's loss reports show that our members awareness and training efforts are working! The frequency and severity of losses from slip and fall accidents have declined over the past several years.

HSB Property Protection Resources
The Hartford Steam Boiler Company (HSB), PREPARE Program is an information gathering system that can help CIRMA members prepare for disasters and set up recovery plans. Disasters bring sudden loss of electricity and crucial utilities, as well as disruption to equipment that may impair your municipality or school's operations. Once a disaster strike, the recovery time is crucial to your operations. PREPARE was designed to reduce the length of time between the occurrence of a significant accident and the eventual return to normal operations. Any substantial reduction in recovery time will result in cost savings, as well as more efficient operations and faster repairs.
PREPARE's 3 Basic Steps:

- An analysis of the facilities electrical systems, pressure equipment, facility service equipment and other machinery to determine which systems and equipment are most critical and the types of failure they're subject to.
- Preparation of a plan of action for each critical item, including alternate power sources and operational processes.
- Data collection on the critical equipment, including specifications, anticipated replacement parts, availability of spare parts, repair facilities, independent contractors, and rental sources.
