Cyber Insurance Program. CIRMA is providing through an A.M. Best "A" rated carrier, a comprehensive Cyber Insurance policy to its Liability-Auto-Property pool members. The policy provides coverage for a data breach of sensitive information from intentional hacking of a computer system or through stolen information from lost or misplaced hardware, whether through the actions of an employee or an outsider. CIRMA's Cyber Insurance policy includes coverage for notification and ID/credit monitoring expenses as outlined by the State of Connecticut's Public Act 15-142 concerning data breaches for Connecticut organizations. In the event of a breach, CIRMA LAP pool members will have access to event management and breach consultative services from best-in-class breach responders with experience in computer forensics, data breach notification, credit and ID monitoring, and legal counsel. Drone Coverage Via Endorsement. CIRMA will provide its Liability-Auto-Property pool members a coverage solution for the exposures that drone use poses to public entities and public schools. Pollution Coverage Program. CIRMA automatically provides those members with property coverage in our Liability-Auto-Property pool broad pollution coverage with high limits through an 'A++' rated carrier. U.S. laws regarding pollution are strict and rely on the concept that the "polluter pays." Whether from leakage, an accident, or the illicit abandonment of hazardous materials, pollution events can be very costly. Costs for remediation, liability, and legal defense for even small-scale pollution events can be high. Large events may bring additional public relations expenses. Covered pollution conditions include solid, liquid or gaseous pollutants, and waste materials.The policy provides up to $1 million coverage per pollution condition, with a $2 million per named insured aggregate limit.
K-9 Coverage. CIRMA's K-9 Officer Coverage ensures the ongoing operation of the unit and public safety by providing replacement coverage of up to $25,000 including training costs when a dog is killed or must be retired because of injuries sustained while engaged in law enforcement duties. K-9 Officer coverage also includes benefits for emergency veterinary care of up to $5,000 per covered injury, helping to protect your budget and assuring that a wounded K-9 gets the veterinary care he needs.
