CIRMA acts as a risk partner to our members, working with you to develop a risk management program tailored to your organization. CIRMA provides professional risk management consulting, training, and tools so that our members can create a safer, more efficient workplace. CIRMA's approach is not prescriptive or restrictive; instead, we work with our members, coaching and providing them the tools and resources they need to help them make their organization's goals possible--the safest possible way.
As part of the CIRMA service team, a CIRMA risk management consultant will work with you to develop and implement a comprehensive risk management program that addresses your specific safety concerns. Your consultant will help you develop a risk management action plan that is data-driven to target loss drivers and help embed best practices into your organization. Our sophisticated analytics spot trends and provide powerful insight into the root causes of loss.
CIRMA Risk Management Consultants will review your risk management programs and make recommendations regarding coverage and risk transfer mechanisms, safety, administration, and risk control techniques. They will work with your entity to help you understand your exposures and loss history, then work with you to formulate a risk management plan to improve safety, lowering losses and reduce your total cost of risk.
Onsite consulting services include:
CIRMA provides Stewardship Reports to our Workers' Compensation members. These reports provide municipal and school leadership with the qualitative and quantitative information they need to develop and monitor their risk management action plans.
Each report contains:
CIRMA helps municipal and school leaders develop a consensus about their tolerance of risk; then we provide valuable context, expertise, and education to help you manage that risk. Context is provided through analysis of trends, both the member's individual loss history and analysis of changes in the larger legal and social environment. CIRMA's analytical systems provides our members a far richer, more detailed understanding of their operations and risk than traditional system that concentrate on claims history. CIRMA's analytical capabilities provide our members a view - as broad or sharply focused as needed, at the organization, department, location or individual employee level. CIRMA's sophisticated analytical systems provide real-time tracking, analysis, and reporting capabilities for our members, enabling them to monitor and measure their risk management action plan.

Tail Gate and Roll Call Topics
CIRMA's Tail Gate Topics contains 80-plus safety and risk management training topics that are written specifically for municipal operations. Each of the topics will take about ten minutes to cover in a group discussion. Some stress basic awareness, common sense, and professionalism. Others are a review of important safety practices and guidelines. We recommend that supervisors and managers use the topics proactively in weekly "Tail Gate Safety" discussions, as refresher training when issues arise, or when new responsibilities are assigned.
CIRMA's Roll Call Topics are similar in format to our Tail Gate Topics, but discuss issues unique to Law Enforcement agencies. Download copies from our Publications page.
