Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Design, develop, and implement solutions that enhance core business systems and integrations
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable, effective solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and overall solution delivery
  • Support ongoing system operations, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Engage in Agile team activities such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to drive timely and effective delivery of solutions

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS TO THE TABLE:  

  • Experience working with Guidewire ClaimCenter (or similar enterprise claims management platforms), preferably within the Property & Casualty insurance domain
  • Strong understanding of application configuration, customization, and integration within enterprise systems
  • Experience designing and developing system integrations using APIs, messaging, or batching processing frameworks
  • Familiarity with database technologies and data management concepts (e.g., SQL)
  • Experience working with web services and integration technologies (REST/SOAP or equivalent)
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including code quality, version control, and build/deployment processes
  • Experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting, defect triage, and issue resolution
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, DevOps tools, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus
  • Relevant certifications or experience with Guidewire or similar platforms are a plus

YOU’LL ALSO NEED THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:  

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, business teams and vendor partnerships
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and sense of ownership
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Agile or similar iterative development methodologies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries is a plus
  • Experience with enterprise platforms (such as Guidewire or similar systems) is preferred but not required
